Noah Cyrus has shared a new single, Don’t Put It All On Me.
The intimate, piano-led ballad finds the singer duetting with Fleet Foxes lead singer Robin Pecknold, with the two Grammy-nominated artists combining for some rich vocal harmonies. Head below to view its accompanying video, directed by Luis Villanueva.
Arriving via RECORDS/Columbia Records, and penned by Cyrus' brother Braison, the song heralds a new chapter for the Nashville-born musician, singer and songwriter, who released her debut album, 'The Hardest Part', in 2022. She said:
"I want my music to offer fans a sense of comforting, peaceful nostalgia. That’s something that I feel so heavily when I listen to music. We all want to connect with our past while also being aware of the present moment. Music does that for me, and this new collection of songs was made with that in mind. I want to evoke that feeling of a comforting friend that a song can be — and allow us all to heal."
Fleet Foxes released their latest studio album, 'Shore', back in 2020, followed by their first live record, 'A Very Lonely Solstice', a year later, and 'Live On Boston Harbor' in 2024. They also contributed to last year's 'TRAИƧA: Selects', a compilation album celebrating the trans/non-binary community.
