Joy Crookes Confirms Second O2 Academy Brixton London Show, Releases New Single Perfect Crime

Joy Crookes has shared another single from her upcoming sophomore album.
Co‑produced by the London artist alongside Harvey Grant, Perfect Crime serves up stripped-down intimacy with a rhythmic bassline, and taps into a Western film metaphor as a form of self-affirmation and empowerment. She explained:
"Perfect Crime is written about that scary bit of time just before you go back into the dating world and you need to just bite the bullet and dive into something. It's kind of like my version of a mantra or doing positive affirmations in the mirror...this song is basically me giving myself a pep talk."
It marks the latest preview of 'Juniper', which is due out on September 26 and includes the previously shared singles Pass The Salt featuring Vince Staples, Mathematics with Kano, I Know You'd Kill and Carmen.
Crookes will support the LP with a UK and European tour of the same name this winter. Due to demand, she's added a second hometown gig at London's O2 Academy Brixton on November 19, the day after her previously confirmed show at the venue. Tickets for the new date go on general sale at 10am on Wednesday (June 25). All other shows are on sale now.
