The North Carolina band have lined up shows in Leeds, Nottingham, Glasgow, Dublin, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and London, where they'll headline the O2 Academy Brixton, between May 29 and June 9.
The tour takes its name from their recently announced new album, 'Bones', which will be released on September 26 and include their July single, Dang.
The record was helmed by Jay Joyce, who previously collaborated with the band on 2018's 'How To: Friend, Love, Freefall', and whose other production credits include Cage The Elephant, Orville Peck and Lainey Wilson. Comprising 10 tracks, it finds vocalist-guitarist Ela Melo at her most vulnerable lyrically. The band said:
"This record is the raw unfiltered sound of Rainbow Kitten Surprise doing what we love to do. We called it bones because we were clearing skeletons out of our closet. These were both musical and interpersonal dynamics that we had to release before we could make this record what it is."
The announcement comes amid Rainbow Kitten Surprise's Thanks For Coming Tour of North America, which continues with a performance in Vancouver on November 1. Early next year, they'll take the new Bones Tour to Australia, stopping in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney supporting Ocean Alley. Tickets for those dates are on sale now.
