Kneecap Share Video For New Paul Hartnoll Collaboration Sayōnara

Kneecap have shared a new standalone track titled Sayōnara.
Written and recorded in collaboration withPaul HartnollofOrbital, the high-energy club banger is built on a pounding drum pattern and nods to ’90s dance music. Hartnoll commented:
"Having worked on the Orbital track Belfast for the fantastic Kneecap film, I was delighted to be asked by the lads to help them make a rave festival banger. They loved the track and did it proud with their lyrics - it was all so easy and natural, just as a good collaboration should be. Hopefully, you’ll be lucky enough to be in a field this summer and hear it in its natural habitat , big , loud, and unashamed!"
The songs arrived witha Finn Keenan-directed video, featuring Jamie-Lee O’Donnell,known for her role as Michelle in the Channel 4 sitcom Derry Girls. She said:
"I had the best time filming the Sayōnaramusic video. Not only is it a massive banger of a track but the intense yet euphoric video is sure to be remembered. The creativity and vision of director, Finn, created a fantastic environment for us all to create something really special. I was delighted to have been asked to be involved in this project especially as I am already a huge fan of Kneecap’s music and an admirer of their work overall."
Sayōnarawill be released on 12″ vinyl on October 10 as a double a-side with the Irish rap trio’s summer singleThe Recapwith drum and bass producer Mozey. It’ll also featureinstrumentals of both tracks.
After a festival-filled summer, Kneecap will play a handful of European dates, including their biggest headline gig outside of Ireland atLondon’s OVO Arena Wembley on September 18. They’ll hit the road again in November for a UK and European tour, and willend the year with two sold-out gigs at Dublin’s 3Arena in December. Tickets for those showsare on sale now.
They also recently announced two nights at Killarney’sGleneagle Arena on December 12 and 13, tickets for which go on general sale at 10am on Friday (September 5).
