Jehnny Beth has enlisted Mike Patton for a new single, Look At Me.
Written with producer Johnny Hostile, Beth's partner, the dramatic track features the Faith No More frontman's distinctive voice, adding wild energy while moving between bold, intense passages and more subtle, atmospheric moments.
Patton was a major influence on the Savages singer while she recorded her 2025 solo album, 'You Heartbreaker, You', particularly inspiring her with his ability to move from high-pitched singing to soft, atmospheric whispers.
"When Johnny [Hostile] and I wrote Look At Me, we had this idea of a song in two parts," Beth explained. "When Mike sent his vocals it was like choosing candy in a candy store, he had a million ideas, it was mind blowing."
Reflecting on the motivation behind the track, she shared that, "it’s about the modern sellers of truth, who share their opinion online on how to ‘better oneself’, giving an illusion of control - but all they really want is to be the centre of attention."
The song arrives with a cinematic video directed by Beth and inspired by Martin Scorsese's 1976 film Taxi Driver. She said: "I represent De Niro's character who embodies this lonely outcast who doesn't have a place in the world. Mike is the preacher who changes my outlook on the world, and our two characters merge together towards the end."
Beth is currently touring Europe and the UK, with the run including shows in Brighton, London, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow and Dublin between March 17 and 24. She'll then perform in Mexico City at the end of the month supporting Deftones.
She'll return to the UK in June for a headline show in Oxford, followed by two dates at London's O2 Academy Brixton as part of a tour supporting A Perfect Circle across Europe. She also has several headline shows and festival dates scheduled across the continent. Tickets are on sale now.
