The full supporting line-up has been revealed for The Maccabees' On The Beach show in Brighton this summer.
The reunited indie-rockers will headline on Brighton seafront on July 25, following sets by Editors, Miles Kane, Anna Calvi, Ash, Badly Drawn Boy and Lime Garden. The Maccabees said:
"When we were first starting out in Brighton, we did not imagine that 20 years on we would be headlining Brighton Beach. It is a very special thing for us to be doing this show outdoors on Brighton Beach and we intend to make this the best Maccabees show ever. Even better than the one at Concorde 2 that got us banned because fans were hanging from the ceiling. You will do well to hang from the ceiling at Brighton Beach."
Now in its sixth year, the On The Beach series will also host Fatboy Slim, who will play three shows billed as Big Beach Boutique 7 between July 17 and 19, Madness on July 23 and 24, and Moby on July 26.
Tickets for The Maccabees show go on general sale at 11am on April 1, while all other dates are on sale now.
The Maccabees recently announced intimate warm-up shows at Edinburgh's Corn Exchange and Newcastle's O2 City Hall on July 6 and 7, respectively, ahead of a series of major outdoor gigs this summer.
In addition to the On The Beach series, they'll play London's Alexandra Palace Park on July 9, the Eden Sessions in St Austell on July 11, Siren Bristol on July 23, Truck Festival in Oxfordshire on July 24 and Live at Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds on July 31. Tickets for those dates are on sale now.
Last summer, the band returned to the stage for their first shows since 2017, performing across Europe and the UK, while also celebrating the 10th anniversary of their chart-topping latest album, 'Marks To Prove It'.
