Yes Announce 24th Studio Album 'Aurora', Unveil Video For Title Track

Yes have announced their 24th studio album.
The legendary prog-rock band — Steve Howe, Geoff Downes, Billy Sherwood, Jon Davison and Jay Schellen — will release 'Aurora' through InsideOutMusic/Sony Music on June 12, following up 2023's 'Mirror To The Sky' and 2021's 'The Quest'.
Produced by guitarist-vocalist Howe, 'Aurora' started to come together soon after the Classic Tales Of Yes Tour ended in 2024. Instead of working in one studio, the band developed ideas in their own home set-ups before collaborating remotely to shape and complete the record. Howe explained:
"Making this record was joyful, a chance to play, explore and give everything to the music. It's always been about collaboration, somebody can write a song, but until everybody puts their contribution in it isn't really a Yes song. We're not trying to echo the past; we're carrying the spirit of Yes forward and turning it into something new."
In advance of its release, the band have shared the vibrant title track, which features orchestral elements and arrives with an animated video created by Matt Hutchings, best known for his work with Greg Lake, Oasis and Iron Maiden.
Yes were planning to celebrate their 1971 album 'Fragile' with a UK and European tour starting later this month, but the dates have been postponed so that Howe can undergo a medical operation. In a statement posted to social media, the band wrote: "This decision has been made to ensure that Steve can return to the stage in full health and deliver the performances that fans deserve.
"We are working hard to reschedule the UK and EU shows to a later date, with full details to be announced after Easter. Please retain your tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled dates. Tour dates currently being arranged for later in 2026 will proceed as planned."
In related news, former Yes frontman and founding member Jon Anderson will tour the US with The Band Geeks this spring, followed by UK and European shows in September and October. Tickets are on sale now.
