Sammy Hagar has announced a revised itinerary for the UK leg of The Best Of All Worlds Tour.
Inspired by his recent Las Vegas residency, the former Van Halen frontman will perform with supergroup The Best Of All Worlds Band — comprised of guitarist Joe Satriani, long-time Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony and drummer Kenny Aronoff — at more intimate, tech-forward venues.
The run will now kick off on July 6 at Wolverhampton’s Civic at The Halls, before heading to Manchester’s O2 Apollo on July 7 and London’s British Airways ARC on July 9, 11 and 12, where Hagar and band will be one of the first acts to headline the new 3,800-capacity, purpose-built live music and events venue.
The shows will see Hagar performing Van Halen classics in the UK for the first time in 30 years. He said:
"After waiting 30 years to come back, we really wanted to get this right. Several factors pushed us toward revising this tour but after wrapping our Las Vegas residency last month at Dolby Live where the sound, the technology, and the more intimate size really lets us connect with the audiences, it was clear that we wanted to deliver an experience like that for our fans in England. When I heard our promoter was opening a similar tech-forward venue in London that really sealed the deal for me. Three nights, a fresh set every night, and I get to stay in London, one of my favorite cities in the world, for a week. That’s the Best of All Worlds!"
Support on all dates will come from special guests Jayler, with tickets going on general sale at 10am on Friday (April 24). Fans who bought tickets for the original UK dates will be contacted and given priority pre-sale access for the new shows, plus a 10% discount on merchandise during the show nights.
Ahead of the UK dates, Hagar and The Best Of All Worlds Band will take the tour across the US in June, returning later in the summer for additional US dates, including another round of shows in Las Vegas. Tickets are on sale now.
Last October, Hagar and band released ’Sammy Hagar & The Best Of All Worlds Band - The Residency (Live)’, capturing their residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Vegas. In January, Hagar put out ’Tomorrow Never Comes (Live Austin ’77)’.
