Ed O'Brien Shares Second Single Incantations From Upcoming Album 'Blue Morpho'

Ed O'Brien has shared a new single, Incantations.
Psychedelic and folky with guitar contributions from Dave Okumu, the hypnotic track runs for eight minutes and opens the Radiohead guitarist's second solo album, 'Blue Morpho', due out on May 22 via Transgressive.
O'Brien previously teased the follow-up to 2020's 'Earth', which he released under the moniker EOB, with the title track.
A Kit Monteith-directed short film called Blue Morpho: The Three Act Play will follow the album's release, offering a candid portrait of O'Brien, though further details are still to be revealed. It premiered last month at SXSW in the US, with additional screenings in London, Oxford and Paris.
Earlier this month, O'Brien announced the seven-date An Evening With... Blue Morpho UK and European tour for the autumn, with shows lined up in Amsterdam, Milan, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Groningen and London, where he'll wrap up the run at the Barbican. Tickets are on sale now.
Next month, he'll join Nadine Shah on a panel at Brighton's The Great Escape Festival titled Music Saved My Life (more details here), followed by Q&A events in Leeds, Cardiff and London. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (April 24).
