Ash Announce Expanded 30th Anniversary Reissue Of '1977' And Accompanying World Tour Dates

Ash have announced a 30th anniversary reissue of their debut album '1977'.
Three decades on from topping the UK and Ireland charts upon its original release in 1996, the Northern Irish trio will issue a special expanded edition on October 16.
Disc one will feature the original 12-song tracklist, including the hits Girl From Mars, Goldfinger, Kung Fu and Oh Yeah, as well as four additional tracks; Bittersweet Blue, Oh Yeah (2026 version), Girl From Mars (Demo 2026 Mix) and Gone The Dream (Acoustic 2026 Mix).
Disc two will include a 2021 live performance from STABAL Studios, which sees Ash run through '1977' in full, along with fan favourites from that time. As a preview, check out the band performing Oh Yeah from the sessions below.
Additionally, taking place at 8pm BST tonight (May 6), Ash will perform a special intimate acoustic set of tracks from '1977', livestreamed directly from Belfast's Oh Yeah Centre, exactly 30 years since the album was released. Head here for further details.
Later in the year, they'll embark on a world tour celebrating the milestone, kicking off in September with shows in Australia, New Zealand and Asia, followed by European dates in November and a tour of the UK and Ireland in December. Japanese shows are to be announced soon.
Tickets for the UK, European, Australian and New Zealand shows go on general sale at 10am local time on May 15, except for the dates in Fremantle and Brisbane, which go on sale on May 13.
Ahead of their new tour, Ash will appear at several UK and European festivals this summer, including Download, Isle of Wight, Y Not? and Kendal Calling. They released their ninth studio album, 'Ad Astra', last October.
