Twin Atlantic are back with a new single titled Don't Quit It.
Written by frontman Sam McTrusty and packed with the Scottish band's trademark hooks, the alt-pop track is about pushing through hard times and marks the start of a new era with independent label Dance To The Radio. It also pays tribute to Scotland's national football team ahead of the World Cup in the United States. McTrusty said:
"It’s about not being able to quit something, or someone, that no matter how much it hurts or drags you down, or disappoints or frustrates you sometimes, you can’t help but love it and need it. It’s accepting that it’s a part of you and without it you’d be less and so it’s worth the perseverance. I wanted to shine a big spotlight on that experience and make a big bold fun rock song, hands in the air, let go of the pretense, take off your seat belt, and feel the fun."
The song also features all four original members — McTrusty, Ross McNae, Barry McKenna and Craig Kneale — together on a track for the first time in three albums.
Twin Atlantic released their latest studio album, 'Meltdown', in 2024. Last November, they put out a 10th anniversary reissue of their third album 'Great Divide', which followed their May standalone single, Salvation.
The band will play their first shows of 2026 in Stirling, Edinburgh and Aberdeen next month, with support from The Xcerts, followed by a run of dates supporting McFly between June 14 and August 29. Tickets are on sale now.
