Dylan John Thomas Announces Second Album 'Nothing Here Worth Taking' And Autumn UK & Ireland Tour

Dylan John Thomas has announced his sophomore album and a UK and Ireland tour.
Hot on the heels of his performance at Scotland's TRNSMT festival on Friday (June 19), alongside Wolf Alice and Richard Ashcroft, the Glasgow singer-songwriter has scheduled shows in Manchester, Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Newcastle, Liverpool Cardiff, London, Glasgow and Aberdeen between November 26 and December 12. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday (June 26).
The announcement comes alongside news that Thomas will release his second album, 'Nothing Here Worth Taking', on September 25 via Believe Music, following his 2024 self-titled LP. Recorded at Magic Box Studios with Scotty Anderson, known for his work with The Snuts, the album was written by Thomas over the past year and shaped by his experiences on the road. He also performed most of the instrumentation. He said:
"I let the album grow naturally. The pressure to try to do a full album in a month or so, I wasn't really into that. I didn't want too much of a time constraint on it. I just let the tunes come to me and recorded it as I went along.
"With the first record, we played it all live before we even recorded it. So we already knew what we thought it should sound like. Whereas with this record, it’s the first time I went into the studio to record something before people had ever heard it. That's the main factor that’s different from the first record to the second record."
Teasing his new era, he shared his stripped-back new single Heaven Knows You're Lonely last week (June 17), following his earlier track, Got You On My Mind.
