The Script Tease 'The User's Guide To Being Human' With New Single The Crowd Was Singing Wonderwall

The Script have released a second single from their upcoming album.
Pairing the Irish band's knack for infectious, stadium-sized choruses with their indie-rock sound, the nostaligic The Crowd Was Singing Wonderwall draws inspiration from Oasis' Live ’25 tour, celebrating old friendships, reunions and the power of music to bring people together. Frontman Danny O’Donoghue explained:
"I'm a huge Oasis fan. Always have been. But I don't think Liam and Noel knew the full impact of what they were doing when they got back together. Because a lot of their fanbase, they're lads, middle-aged guys, and a lot of them have a similar scenario where they're not talking to a brother or a friend, and they're trying to be a man's man about it.
"The Gallaghers reuniting put into the zeitgeist the idea that forgiveness is cool again. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up when I saw them walking out with their hands together. If two of the most notorious people for being at loggerheads can overcome their differences, anything's possible!"
The track offers another glimpse into 'The User’s Guide To Being Human', due out on August 14. The album will also include the previously unveiled lead single Man In The Arena, which lends its name to The Script's upcoming tour supporting the record.
The arena trek will kick off with shows across the UK, Ireland and Europe this autumn, followed by dates in the Phillippines, Australia, Singapore and Indonesia in March and April next year, though venue details for their Indonesia show are yet to be revealed.
The band are currently touring as support for Luke Combs and play a show in Amsterdam tomorrow (July 11), followed by two dates at Ireland's Slane Castle next weekend (July 18 and 19). Tickets are on sale now.
