Kasabian Guitarist Chris Karloff Booted Out

Tuesday, 18 July 2006 Written by Stereoboard.com
ImageKasabian have confirmed news that lead guitarist and keyboardist Chris Karloff has been booted out of the band.

The Leicester based band had been recording the follow-up to their 2004 debut, citing "creative and artistic differences" for the parting of the ways.

A statement on the band's official website reads: "Lead guitarist/keyboard player Chris Karloff and Kasabian have parted company.

"Karloff and the band experienced certain creative and artistic differences during the writing and recording of their second album. These irreconcilable and diverging approaches resulted in the band asking Karloff to leave the group. Karloff will pursue a musical career elsewhere."

Kasabian release their new album 'Empire' on September 4th with the title track being released as the first single on July 24th
