The 'much awaited’ fifth studio Coldplay album is to be released this Christmas, Chris Martin has revealed.
In an interview with Brazilian TV show Fantastico, the lead singer was asked when the follow up to 2008’s Viva La Vida would be ready for release. Martin responded “Hopefully this Christmas”.
Though a chance of it being leaked early is damn unlikely as Martin added, “there are only two people in the whole building (at EMI) who know how to open all the recording files. Even we don’t know how to do it. We couldn’t even steal our own music”.
Almost inviting a mission impossible like heist, the singer finished by saying “You would have to be a computer genius and a great burglar to get into the building, and download it, and mix it”.
So calling all Coldplay loving computer genius burglars…the challenge is set. For the rest of you poor sods, it’ll have to be something to put on your list to Santa.
