Foals Reveal New Intimate UK Tour Details & Tickets

Oxford quintet, Foals, have announced a new UK and Ireland tour for April and May, plus details of their much-anticipated second album ‘Total Life Forever’.
The band will kick-off their eleven-date gig run on April 29th in Liverpool before releasing ‘This Orient’ on May 3rd, their first single to be released from the new album.
Foals burst into our ears in 2008 when their debut album ‘Antidotes’ brought a neat pop twist to new music style, math rock. Smoothing out heavy rhythms in preference to something a little more coherent, they quickly became the critical darlings. While the going was good, the group’s next move was to take some time off.
Crafting new material away in Sweden, the Oxford band have recently confirmed that their eagerly awaited second album is set for release on May 10th. Fans desperate for a preview of the new music will be pleased to hear that Foals have also confirmed details of a new UK tour hitting a number of intimate venues this summer.
The tour will coincide with the release of the new album and will also include a hometown show at Oxford Academy on May 12th. Last week, electric guitar player Yannis Philippakis told fans via the group’s MySpace page that is was “good to be back”. He sounds way too excited for my liking. Someone calm him down.
