Whitney Houston Re-Schedules Three UK Dates Due To Illness

Warbling Queen Whitney Houston has been forced to postpone three of her scheduled UK concerts due to illness – don’t worry if you’ve bought tickets already, keep hold of them for the rescheduled dates or obtain a refund from your point of purchase.

The singer who will ‘always love you’ has been advised by doctors to take time off from her touring schedule to recover from a respiratory illness she has been suffering from for some time.

The 46 year-old has already taken action in postponing the Paris show which was the first gig of the European stage of her “Nothing But Love” comeback tour. The concert was set to take place yesterday Tuesday 6th April but because of illness it has had to be put back.

"Doctors visited Whitney late last night in Paris and confirmed that she was suffering from an upper respiratory infection," a statement issued earlier today by the singer’s publicist said. "Upon medical advice Whitney has been advised that she cannot perform to allow her time to recover."

Unfortunately that recovery time has meant that the singer will be also postponing her first three UK performances. The shows scheduled for Thursday 8th April and Friday 9th April in Manchester will now be moved back to the end of her tour on Wednesday 16th June and Thursday 17th June. Her Scottish show in Glasgow scheduled for Sunday 11th April has also been set back to the new date of Saturday 1st May. The tour is expected to resume next Tuesday in Birmingham.

Concert promoters Marshall Arts have asked ticket holders for the Manchester and Glasgow performance to keep hold of their tickets, which will remain valid for the rescheduled dates. Organisers also stated that those unable to make the new dates should apply to wherever they purchased the ticket from for a refund.

All other dates on Houston’s tour will be unaffected.
