Linkin Park Announce Return To UK & Tickets

All hail the return of dangly wallet chains and dodgy goatee beards, rap-metal continues its re-emergence with Linkin Park embarking on a UK tour in November.

The four-date jaunt will form part of Linkin Park’s extensive European tour and will see the band play four of the UK’s biggest arenas later this year in November. Kicking-off on November 4th in Manchester, Linkin Park will then roll through venue’s in Sheffield, Birmingham and London.

The newly announced dates will be the Californian band’s first UK gigs for three years and follow the release of their third studio album ‘Minutes To Midnight’ back in 2007. The tour has been said to feature a “transformative multi-media experience, blending our songs and art and featuring never-before-seen visual technology.”

The return of Linkin Park comes after the recent ground-shaking reappearance of Rage Against The Machine as well as the news that Lostprophets are set to hit the road again. Could this tour announcement by the nu-metal, cross-over titans Linkin Park spell the return of rap-metal and take us all back to 1999?

Linkin Park will play the following UK dates:

November 2010

4th MEN Arena, Manchester
6th Sheffield Arena, Sheffield
9th LG Arena, Birmingham
10th O2 Arena, London

Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday 18th June.

Clutch - Book of Bad Decisions (Album Review)
Fri 07 Sep 2018
Despite being poster boys for gritty guitar licks, quirky lyrics and bluesy, boozy funk-rock, Clutch have never achieved the mainstream attention that their self-sustaining march over the years should merit. Even though 2015’s superb ‘Psychic Warfare’ broke them through to an extent, there remains a boatload of charm in the Maryland groovelords’ way of modestly churning out one outstanding record after another. The gloriously titled ‘Book of Bad Decisions’ doesn’t buck that trend.
True Rockers Take Risks: Why Monster Truck Are Set To Explode
Tue 25 Sep 2018
Armed with a bulldozing brand of stoner-infused, bluesy rock ‘n’ roll, Canada’s Monster Truck have steadily established themselves as a must see live act over the last decade. Having battered more and more eardrums into submission at progressively larger venues, particularly as a support act to Deep Purple, Alter Bridge and Black Stone Cherry, arena headlining status has increasingly seemed like it’s theirs for the taking. And if their relentlessly anthemic third album ‘True Rockers’ is anything to go by, heaven help anyone who tries to stop them.
Alice in Chains - Rainier Fog (Album Review)
Thu 06 Sep 2018
Named after an ominous volcano near Seattle, while acting as a tribute to the music scene that shot them to prominence in the early 1990s, ‘Rainier Fog’ is Alice In Chains’ third record since reforming after the death of frontman Layne Staley in 2002. Erupting with flavours old and new, it’s a classy effort that demonstrates exactly what master craftsmanship looks like. So why is it difficult to shake the feeling something’s missing?
