Count Arthur Strong was a BBC sitcom written by Steve Delaney and Graham Linehan.
Delaney played the title role: a delusional out-of-work variety star who used to have his own radio show attempting to make the jump to television. His ex-comedy partner's son follows him in order to write a biography about his dad. The show first aired on the BBC in 2013 after a long-running radio show, for which it won a Sony Gold Award for Best Radio Comedy in 2009, and came to an end in 2017. Originally I thought Count Arthur was just a pretty face.Now I realise he doesn't look as daft as he is! When I came away from the show I was thinking of little else. She would have loved it. I can recommend his show in the strangest possible terms!

Fantastic show. Absolute hysterical time. Still smiling next day thinking about it. Total feel good factor. Bought cd and video and wish i got a t shirt too. Best show i have seen for comedy. The man is a genius. Me and the wife laughed all the way home on the bus. We must have looked wanting. Can't wait for the next tour. A pure word maestro
