Gaz Oakley is a chef and social media personality from Cardiff.
Also known as The Avant-Garde Vegan, he began working in a kitchen at just 15-years-old and, in 2016, began to follow a vegan lifestyle after listening to an interview with JME. He launched his Instagram and YouTube pages that same year, rapidly racking up a huge following for his plant-based cooking videos and going on to release several cookbooks and collaborating on dishes with the likes of The Vurger Co. and Wagamama. During the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown, he took an interest in growing his own food, and now also creates content educating on the physical and mental benefits of organic farming and permaculture.
