Malala Yousafzai Tickets & Tour Dates
Malala Yousafzai is an education activist from Mingora, Pakistan.
The daughter of teachers Ziauddin and Tor Pekai Yousafzai, she began speaking out at just 11-years-old after the Taliban banned girls’ education in her hometown in 2008, and soon she began anonymously blogging for BBC Urdu under the pseudonym Gul Makai about life under militant control. However, she truly gained international attention in 2012 when she was shot by a Taliban gunman while travelling home from school, and has since become a global figurehead for promoting girls' education. At the age of 16, she addressed the United Nations, co-founded a charity and authored a bestselling memoir, I Am Malala, going on to win the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 – the youngest ever recipient of the award. She continued her studies at Edgbaston High School in Birmingham, then read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, graduating in 2020 before becoming the youngest-ever Honorary Fellow at Linacre College, Oxford, in 2023. She also served as executive producer on the Oscar‑nominated short documentary Stranger At The Gate in 2022, and her second memoir, Finding My Way, is due for release in October 2025. Malala Yousafzai will appear in conversation at venues in London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Dublin and Manchester in November 2025, sandwiched between a run of North American shows.
