Rachel Platten, is an American singer and songwriter from Massachusetts, USA.

Moving to New York City’s Greenwich Village, after she graduated from university, she started off playing with a Prince and Sly and the Family Stone cover band called Dayz of Wild. She began performing her solo music around the city and then touring the country, and released her debut album, ‘Trust in Me’ in 2003. Her second album, ‘Be Here’, was released in 2011, on Rock Ridge Music.

She’s best known for her single, ‘Fight Song’, which was an international hit reaching number six in the Billboard Hot 100, and number one in the UK Singles Chart. The EP ‘Fight Song’ reached number 20 on the Billboard 200. The success of the song led to Rachel Platten signing to Columbia Records, and supporting Alex & Sierra and Andy Grammer on their The Good Guys & A Girl Tour, as well as touring with Colbie Caillat and Christina Perri on their The Girls Night Out, Boys Can Come Too Tour.
