Richard Hawley is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Sheffield.
Starting his musical career in 1989 as a member of Longpigs, he released two albums with the band before they disbanded in 2000, going on to join Pulp as a touring guitarist. He swiftly moved on to recording his own material, releasing his debut self-titled mini-album in 2001. His first full-length record, 2001's 'Late Night Final', was well received by critics. To date, he has nine studio albums under his belt, including 2005's 'Coles Corner', which was nominated for the Mercury Prize. His latest LP, 'In This City They Call You Love', arrived in 2024.
