Richard Hawley Announces 10th Studio Album 'In This City They Call You Love'

Richard Hawley has laid out plans for his 10th studio album.
'In This City They Call You Love' will arrive through BMG on May 31, following up 2019's 'Further', though the Sheffield singer-songwriter also put out the 'Live At Halifax Piece Hall' LP in 2022, and the 'Now Then: The Very Best Of Richard Hawley' compilation a year later.
Comprising 12 songs, the new record is led by the stripped-back, atmospheric opener, Two For His Heels, which is streaming below.
The news follows the success of the award-winning musical based on Hawley's songs, Standing At The Sky's Edge, which opened earlier in February for a six-month run on London's West End.
Hawley will embark on a UK and Ireland tour this spring. He'll also tick off his biggest headline show to date with a hometown concert at Sheffield's Don Valley Bowl on August 29, as part of the live music weekender Rock N Roll Circus. That same month, he'll appear at Beautiful Days in Devon. Tickets are on sale now.
