Katie Jane Garside is a singer, songwriter, visual artist and poet from Yorkshire, England, who received critical attention for her alternately harsh and childlike vocals, manic onstage behaviour, and raucous live concerts.
Garside initially rose to prominence as the vocalist for indie noise rock band Daisy Chainsaw in 1989, and then formed Queenadreena in 1999, with whom she released four albums in the 2000s. She began writing and releasing acoustic material with Chris Whittingham in 2007 under the moniker Ruby Throat. That year, their debut album came, titled 'The Ventriloquist'. Later came 'Out Of A Black Cloud Came A Bird' in 2009, 'O Doubt O Stars' in 2012 and 'Baby Darling Taporo' in 2017.
