Rodrigo Y Gabriela are a flamenco rumba duo from Mexico City, Mexico, consisting of Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero.
Formed in 2000, the pair first met as teenagers. They originally performed together in a heavy metal band, but became frustrated at the lack of opportunity in Mexico, so switched the direction of their music and moved to Europe. They have released six studio albums to date, with their most recent being 'In Between Thoughts...A New World' in 2023. Their efforts have earned them a number of huge honours, including a Grammy Award and even the opportunity to perform at The White House for Barak Obama. Rodrigo Y Gabriela headline shows in Bristol and London in June 2024, while they're in the UK supporting Nick Mulvey, and have also confirmed a run of North American dates for spring 2024.
