Rodrigo Y Gabriela is a Mexican Flamenco Rumba duo from Mexico City, consisting of Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero, who both sing and play quick, melodic acoustic guitar.

Formed in 2000, the pair first met as teenagers, originally performing together in a heavy metal band, but frustrated at the lack of opportunity in Mexico, switched direction and moved to Europe. By 2002, they'd released their debut album, 're-Foc', followed by a self-titled album in 2006, which reached #1 in the Irish album chart. ‘11:11’ was released in 2009, ‘Area 52’ came out in 2012 and ‘9 Dead Alive’ in 2014, which saw the pair break the Top 40 in the UK Albums Chart.

The band have performed at Glastonbury Festival and at the White House, and supported The Stone Roses. In 2015 they returned to London for a show at the SSE Arena Wembley.

Since then Rodrigo Y Gabriela have played 10th anniversary shows in celebration of their self-titled album across North America, the UK, Europe and Australia.
