Formed in 1873 by the boys of the Cavendish Street Chapel in Hulme, Manchester, the Salford Red Devils are a professional rugby league club based in Salford, Greater Manchester, England.
They have undergone a number of name changes, with the club known simply as Salford before 1995, Salford Reds between 1995 and 1998, and Salford City Reds from 1999 to 2013. Their home since 2012 has been the AJ Bell Stadium in Barton-upon-Irwell, which they moved to from the Willows in Weaste.
