Scooter are a trance band from Hamburg, Germany consisting of H.P. Baxxter, Phil Speiser and Michael Simon.
Founding members Baxxter and Rick J. Jordan met in 1986 through a small ad and founded the synthpop/new wave band Celebrate The Nun, gaining a good level of success. When the popularity of New Wave started to fall, Baxxter and Jordan formed the remix team known as The Loop, and again gained a strong level of popularity. Scooter was formed in 1993 and reached no. 8 in the German dance chart with their debut single, a cover of René & Gaston's Vallée De Larmes. In October 2013 it was announced that Jordan would be leaving the band, to be replaced by Phil Speiser.
Spanning their career of over 25 years, they have released seventeen albums, the latest being, ‘Scooter Forever’, in 2017. For their early career, most of their success was found in mainland Europe, but in December 2001 the band released their 23rd single, Ramp (The Logical Song), from their best-of compilation album, ‘Push The Beat For This Jam’, which managed to reach #2 in the UK, and have managed to achieve several top 20 singles since. Their album, ‘Jumping All Over The World’, also reached #1 in the UK Albums Chart, unexpectedly replacing Madonna’s, ‘Hard Candy’, for the top spot.
In 2008, the group set out on their first UK arena tour, as part of Clubland Live, with Cascade and Ultrabeat, and have toured the country several times since.
Scooter made a live return in 2016 with shows in London and Glasgow in March, and another album, ‘Ace’, which was followed by 'Scooter Forever' the year after.
Scooter returns in 2018 with 25th anniversary shows across Europe, entitled the 100% Scooter Wild and Wicked Tour - landing in London on May 6. Catch them live by checking out the tour dates and ticket information below.
