The festival was originally established in 2017 as the Festival Of Beer, eventually rebranding and emerging in 2022 as Stowaway. Featuring music, comedy and performing arts across several stages, guests are also treated to hidden parties, woodland banquets, wild swimming, canoeing, kids activities, wellness areas and beer from the on-site Blackpit Brewery. Since their rebrand, the festival has hosted performances from the likes of Crazy P Soundsystem, Groove Armada, Greentea Peng, Fabio & Grooverider, ShyFX, Leftfield, Max Cooper, David Rodigan, Horse Meat Disco and Eats Everything.
