The Chi-Lites are an American R&B and soul outfit hailing from Chicago. Formed back in 1959, the group currently consists of founding member Marshall Thompson alongside Tara Henderson and Fred Simon, though many a talented vocalist - such as Robert Squirrel Lester or Eugene Record - have also played a part over their many years together.
Known for their smooth soul style, and for the fact that they were one of few bands of their style not from Philly or Memphis, The Chi-Lites have put out a multitude of albums, compilations, and singles over the years, but are perhaps best recognised for tracks like their 1972 chart-topper Oh Girl and previous hit Have You Seen Her.
