The Barbican is a live music and performance venue based in the Paragon Centre in York. Boasting a capacity of 1,900 standing and 1,500 seating, it plays host to a variety of events, ranging from plays to gigs, big club nights and even sports like snooker. Opening in 1989 following a spend of cost of £15million, it received a £1.5million makeover in 2011 - fans would say it's worth the money!
