The Minus 5 are an pop-rock supergroup from the UK and USA.
Formed in 1993 as a side project for Scott McCaughey of The Young Fresh Fellows, he was soon joined by R.E.M's Peter Buck, as well as Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow of The Posies. Today, the band features a rotating line-up of different musicians alongside McCaughey, which has in the past included Patti Smith, Leroy Bach of Wilco and Mark "E" Everett of Eels. McCaughey has released 17 albums under the Minus 5 moniker, with the most recent being 2019's 'Stroke Manor'. The Minus 5 will embark on a co-headline UK tour with The No Ones in July 2023.
