Transatlantic are a progressive rock supergroup featuring a hefty line-up of prog's most loved musicians. The band features Dream Theater's Mike Portnoy on drums, Pete Trewavas of Marillion/Edison's Children plays bass, The Flower Kings' Roine Stolt plays guitar and Neal Morse from Spock's Beard plays the keys, while they all share vocal duties.
Formed in 1999 as a side-project to their respective bands, the foursome dropped their debut album 'SMPT:e' the following year. After the release of their sophomore record, 2001's 'Bridge Across Forever', the band split, but reformed in 2009 armed with a new LP in the shape of 'The Whirlwind.' They have put out a total of five studio albums to date, the most recent being 'The Absolute Universe' in 2021. Transatlantic will stop at London's O2 Forum Kentish Town as part of The Absolute Universe Tour in July 2022. Catch them live by checking show dates and ticket details via Stereoboard.
