Bernard Fanning is an Australian singer-songwriter and musician from Brisbane. He is best known as the frontman for Powderfinger and for his solo career.
Starting his music career in 1989, as a member of Powderfinger, the band released seven albums, before disbanding in 2010. He released his debut solo album, ‘Tea & Sympathy’, in 2005, while he was still in the band, which hit #1 in the Australian album chart. Following the band’s split he launched his solo career, releasing the album,’Departures’, in 2013, which also reached the top spot. ‘Civil Dusk’, came out in 2016 and peaked at #2 and his latest album, ‘Brutal Dawn’, was released in May 2017, also reaching second place. Bernard Fanning is set to tour Australia in October, and will play London and Dublin shows in December.
