Founded in 1901, and nicknamed 'the Seagulls' or 'the Albion', their official colours are blue, yellow, and white. They play their home games at the Falmer Stadium, known for sponsorship purposes as the American Express Community Stadium and also referred to as the Amex.

Despite the almost 40-mile distance between the two clubs, Crystal Palace FC are Brighton's main rival.
