Stereoboard.com and other ‘secondary ticketing’ sites could soon be invited to join the body that regulates the ticketing industry in the UK.
The move would allow comparison sites like Stereoboard.com and exchanges such as Seatwave, Viagogo and GetMeIn to join the Society of Ticket Agents and Retailers’ (STAR) and is seen as a positive step for credible online ticket exchanges.

Entertainment company Live Nation recently announced plans to begin issuing digital wristbands to concert goers in a trial replacement of traditional paper tickets.
As previously reported by Stereoboard.com, the new technology will use a “smart chip”, containing details of the event and the ticket holder, to allow entry into gigs.

The world's biggest concert promoter, who recently merged with Ticketmaster to form the vertical live-music megacorporation Live Nation Entertainment, are experimenting with "smart-chip" technology to stamp out ticket fraudsters.
