The Divine Comedy Return With New Album

Wednesday, 26 April 2006 Written by Stereoboard.com
Image Neil Hannon returns as The Divine Comedy in June with the follow up to 2004's Absent Friends.

'Victory For The Comic Muse' will be released on Parlophone on June 19th. This will be preceded by a new single on June 12th.

The album was recorded virtually live in the studio over a period of two weeks in late 2005. Modern recording techniques were set aside in favour of analogue tape and as few microphones as possible.

The entire project was arranged and produced by Hannon himself and features many long-standing Divine Comedy collaborators.
