The Divine Comedy are a Northern Irish chamber pop band from Enniskillen, consisting of Neil Hannon, alongside a variety of musicians.
Formed in 1989, the band released their debut album, ‘Fanfare for the Comic Muse’, in 1990. By the release of their fourth album, ‘Casanova’, in 1996, the band had started to gain some notoriety, but it was their fifth album, ‘A Short Album About Love’, which came out in 1997, that broke the Top 40 in the UK Albums Chart, reaching #13. ‘Fin De Siècle’ was released in 1998, and gave the band their highest chart position, reaching #8, and contained the song National Express. ‘Regeneration’ followed in 2001, reaching #14 in the chart, with 2004’s ‘Absent Friends’ placing at #23. They released their eleventh album, ‘Foreverland’, in September 2016 via DC Records.
The Divine Comedy will head out on a UK and Ireland tour this winter. Catch them live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.
