Franz Ferdinand Plan Long Break After Hectic Schedule

Thursday, 04 May 2006 Written by Stereoboard.com
ImageFranz Ferdinand are planning to take a long break from the music business.

Singer Alex Kapranos revealed this week that he needs to spend some time with his family, recharge his batteries and help to find some inspiration to write the bands next album.

He told the Daily Record: "We have been on the road or in the studio continuously for three years and I think everyone needs to spend some time with their wives or their girlfriends and live a bit of ordinary life again."

"Doing that recharges your batteries and gives you new material to write from, if nothing else."

"I feel that if I kept this life on the road and nothing else then I'd have nothing to write about because I would only have this to draw on - and that's a pretty vacuous subject."
