Travis' Fran Healy Announce Glasgow and London Solo Gigs & Tickets

Fran Healy, lead singer and songwriter of one of Britain's most successful bands, Travis, has unveiled his first live shows in the UK performing material from his debut solo album WRECKORDER.

WRECKORDER is an eclectic collection of songs from a songwriter at the top of his game. Known for songs such as "Why Does It Always Rain On Me?", "Driftwood" and "Sing" to name a few, Healy once again exemplifies his exceptional song writing prowess with this beguiling record which is set for release on Oct 4th.

Recorded in Berlin, New York and Vermont, the 10 tracks that make up the record include the commanding melodies of first single "Buttercups", a duet with US breakthrough songstress Neko Case on the gloriously laid back "Sing Me To Sleep", the soaring "In The Morning" and the teasing but serious "Moonshine". Notably the dramatic waltz of "As It Comes" features Sir Paul McCartney on bass - Healy repaid Macca for his efforts by turning vegetarian. WRECKORDER is the sound of a songwriter who continues to artistically evolve with more dates to follow.

Following his critically acclaimed North American tour with Keane, Fran will return to the UK performing two intimate solo acoustic shows in London and his home town, Glasgow.

Fran Healy Tour Dates are as follows:

Wednesday 15th Sept - Glasgow Oran Mór
Thursday 16th Sept - London Bush Hall

Tickets for Fran Healy will go on general sale at 9am on Friday 27th August 2010, priced from £17.50.
