Comedian Lenny Henry Announces Details Of 2011 'Cradle To Rave' UK Tour & Tickets

The hilarious Lenny Henry has announced a new UK tour for 2011, hitting the road with his new show ‘Cradle to Rave’.

This new tour will mark Lenny’s return to the stand-up stage following his award-winning stint in Northern Broadside’s Othello. During the new jaunt the Dudley-born funny man will revisit his roots with a funky, funny and touching show, taking audiences on a muscial journey exploring the role music has played, and will play, at every stage of Lenny's life from the womb to the tomb.

Lenny Henry’s started his stand-up career way back in 1975 and in 1976 he went on to win the ITV talent show ‘New Faces’. Also building a strong television career, the comedian became a co-presenter on children’s TV show ‘Tiswas’ and also wrote and performed in BBC show ‘Three of a Kind’. Later he starred in his own self-titled BBC show and also acted as TV chef Gary Blackstock in 90’s BBC sit-com ‘Chef!’

Lenny Henry will hit the road early in 2011 with the brand new tour scheduled to start in January. Playing a staggering 67 UK & Ireland dates, the comedian will kick-off in Newbury on January 17th and conclude in Dublin on May 15th.
