Deerhunter Announce Six-Date UK Tour for 2011 & Tickets

Confirming plans for a mini-tour of the UK next March, Atlanta indie group Deerhunter will visit Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and London to perform tracks from their upcoming new album 'Halcyon Digest'.

Co-founded in 2001, Deerhunter consist of the combined talents of Bradford Cox, Moses Archuleta, Josh Fauver, and Lockett Pundt. Although a relatively new band the group have already gone through several line-up changes as well as the death of a member, although their “ambient punk” sound still remains as popular as ever.

Taking time out from touring last year, Deerhunter set off to complete some solo projects before reconvening for the writing of new album 'Halcyon Digest'. Due for release later this month the anticipated new album has been kept firmly under wraps so far but there is now a special preview of new track 'Revival' available as a free download by visiting http://halcyondigest.com/tour/

To promote the eagerly-awaited new album, Deerhunter have announced six select shows across the UK and Ireland for March next year. Kicking-off at Dublin's Button Factory on March 25th the tour will visit Belfast's Stiff Kitten, Glasgow's Oran Mor, Leeds' Irish Centre, Manchester's Sound Control before concluding at London's O2 Shepherd Bush Empire on March 31st.

This tour will mark the first major outing from Deerhunter since their joint shows with No Age and Dan Deacon last year.

Deerhunter will play the following UK and Ireland shows:

March 2011

25th Button Factory, Dublin
26th Stiff Kitten, Belfast
28th Oran Mor, Glasgow
29th Irish Centre, Leeds
30th Sound Control, Manchester
31st O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, London
