Katy Perry and Akon Set To Perform At Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Pop superstars Katy Perry and Akon are set to perform at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show, held in New York next month.
In a statement on their website, the international retailer of women’s wear, lingerie and beauty products announced that the two acts will be headlining at their annual Fashion Show. The event will take place on November 30th and will be broadcast across America on the major network channel CBS.
The acts will be following in a long tradition of artists to have performed at the hugely-popular event. Past performers include Usher, Seal, Justin Timberlake and The Black Eyed Peas, who performed at last year’s show.
Despite being world-famous musical performers, there is a small rumour that Perry and Akon will not be the main attraction for the millions of viewers across America. The event features a host of Victoria’s Secret ‘Angels’ sporting the latest and greatest collection of the companies lingerie (amongst other things). Supermodels Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Chanel Iman, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Erin Heatherton and Lily Aldridge will all feature in the fashion show next month.
Meanwhile, Katy Perry will be appearing on this week’s X Factor to showcase her new single,’Firework’. She will be performing alongside past contestant Diana Vickers, who has recently released ‘My Wicked Heart’, the third single from her debut album ‘Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree’.
