Idlewild Announce Shows To Play '100 Broken Windows' Live & Tickets

The latest trend of bands revisiting their glory days shows no signs of fading as Scottish alt-rockers Idlewild confirm they will perform their 2000 album ‘100 Broken Windows’ in its entirety later this year. The short string of dates includes a New Year's Eve show in Glasgow.
Idlewild's huge Stateside success finally (and deservedly) transferred to their home shores in 2002, as the singles 'You Held The World In Your Arms' and 'American English' stormed the UK charts.
’100 Broken Windows’ was released on April 15th entering the UK album charts at Number 15. A critical hit, quashing many critics view that Idlewild were no more than a night out for teenage indie rockers. The album’s sense of identity, poetic lyrics and harmony coupled with the distorted pop of earlier efforts make it a record for old and new fans alike.
Comparisons started to be drawn with mid-period REM and Echo and the Bunnymen amongst others. One critic goes so far as labelling them the punk rock Smiths. The album was certified silver in the UK and the band went on to tour Europe, headline clubs and supporting bands such as indie-opera group Muse.
Idlewild will play their second studio album '100 Broken Windows' live in December on the following dates:

14th - The Relentless Garage, London
15th - Liquid Room, Edinburgh
29th - The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen
30th - Fat Sam’s, Dundee
31st – Oran Mor, Glasgow
