Kings Of Leon Smash Digital Sales Record With New Album

Kings Of Leon have gone straight in at Number One on the UK Official Albums Chart with their fifth album ‘Come Around Sundown’

Their latest release has scored the biggest first week digital album sales in chart history.

The album achieved a total of 183,000 sales in its first week, beating the likes of Eminem and Katy Perry to have the biggest first week sales of any album so far in 2010. 'Come Around Sundown' is the band's third Number One album in the UK, following on from their hugely successful 2008 release, ‘Only By The Night’.

In terms of singles, Bruno Mars has returned the Number One position in the Official Singles Chart with 'Just The Way You Are (Amazing)', beating off the newest boyband sensation, The Wanted. Bruno Mars’ single originally entered the chart at Number One a month ago.
