Lady Gaga Dominates At MTV Europe Awards

Lady Gaga added another three prizes to her already-bulging trophy cabinet this week as she picked up three MTV Europe Awards. The eccentric songwriter picked up prizes for ‘Best Female’, ‘Best Pop Act’ and ‘Best Song’ for ‘Bad Romance’.
Gaga was the main winner at the star-studded event, which took place in Madrid this Sunday (7th November). The singer was unable to attend the awards herself, but accepted her awards via a video-link to Budapest, where she is currently on tour.
The singer held true to form, accepting her third award while wearing nothing other than a few tactically-placed pieces of plastic. "I wish so much that I could be there," she said, before launching into a funky version of her 2008 album track, ‘Teeth’.
The event was ultimately dominated by American acts, as highlights of the ceremony included performances from Katy Perry, Kanye West, Linkin Park, 30 Seconds To Mars and Miley Cyrus.
Bon Jovi closed the ceremony, after being awarded the prestigious Global Icon Award. In one of the closing sentiments of the annual ceremony, the band showed their appreciation to the Spanish crowd:
"Thanks for making us icons. I want to thank everyone at MTV for this unbelievable ride over a quarter of a century. We're still doing what we do and we're doing it well.".
