Paramore have spoken recently about the trials and tribulations of being in a successful rock band. In an interview with the BBC earlier this week, the band discussed the difficulties of touring so extensively, as well as showing their excitement over their current UK tour.
When asked about what sacrifices are involved in being a part of such a successful band, bass player Jeremy Davis said: "Everything - pretty much having any kind of normal life. You don't see family, nieces and nephews. Everyone growing up, you just feel like you miss that stuff. Whilst everyone else is going to bed or getting ready for work the next morning, we're in a plane somewhere in some crazy part of the country."
The band are best known for their pop-punk anthems and the powerful vocal chords of frontwoman Hayley Williams. During the interview, guitarist Taylor York said that touring has taken a toll on her voice in the past, so Williams does all she can to reserve her vocal health, including restricting the number of interviews she does.
"She's being sensible. With our travelling, with as many shows, it's hard for any vocalist to stay healthy and keep that up. She's just being cautious. People get sick and people's voices go. She's fine, she's just making sure she takes care of it and be her best." he said.
Paramore also revealed the video for their latest single, ‘Playing God’, online yesterday. The single will be the fifth from their last studio album, ‘Brand New Eyes’, which was released fourteen months ago. The video can be viewed below:
