Take That Promise That Next Year’s Shows Will Be 'Three In One'

Tuesday, 23 November 2010 Written by James Conlon

Take That’s Gary Barlow has made a statement about their sell-out tour next year, claiming that the performances will feature “three shows in one”.

In an interview with Fearne Cotton on BBC Radio 1, Barlow said: "For people with a ticket they can expect Robbie, Take That as a four and Take That as a five."

There has been speculation about how the reunited band would split their archive material for the shows, which broke several box-office records, selling out in just one day. One million tickets were sold for the series of shows, which will take place across six UK venues next year.

Understandably, there has been a large amount of curiosity surrounding the details of the events, especially after fans showed such an unprecedented demand for tickets. In the interview Barlow went on to confirm that the shows would acknowledge Take That material from their original run as a band, their work as a four piece and their latest release, ‘Progress’. He also hinted that some of Robbie William’s solo material might see the light of day during the shows. The tour will be the first time that Robbie Williams has hit the road with his Take That bandmates for sixteen years.

It has been a busy week for the British boy band, who topped the UK chart with their latest album ‘Progress’, achieving the biggest opening week sales of any record for 13 years. Take That also helped to raise over £18 million in the BBC’s Children in Need campaign on Friday.
