Roger Waters Adds New Birmingham Date And Cancels Manchester Show For 2011 The Wall Tour & Tickets

Roger Waters, the former member of Pink Floyd makes a striking comeback to home soil, with exclusive live gigs of the classc Pink Floyd album 'The Wall' in May and June 2011. Waters has now added a new date for a show at Birmingam's Indoor Arena, however, the rock legend has had to cancel his June 29th show at Manchester's Evening News Arena due to “filming commitments”. Ticket refunds are available from point of purchase.

The Wall Live will be the first time the Pink Floyd album 'The Wall' has been performed in its entirety since Waters performed the album live in Berlin on 21st July 1990. Waters has also declared this is likely to be his last tour.

Pink Floyd's album 'The Wall' is largely based on Waters' life story and having sold 23 million units ranked as one of the top 3 selling albums of all time in America. The poignant single, 'Another Brick in the Wall (Part II)' was also ranked number 375 on Rolling Stone's ‘500 Greatest Songs of All Time’ list.

Waters has always possessed strong political and social views. On 9 November 1989 the Berlin Wall fell and in tribute Waters staged one of the largest rock concerts ever, The Wall - Live in Berlin in 1990. Known for his spectacular performances, Waters installed a 25m by 170m wall, built across the set and Scarfe's inflatable puppets were recreated on an enlarged scale. Waters then reunited with Nick Mason, Richard Wright, and David Gilmour for a one-off performance at Live 8 in 2005. This was Pink Floyd's first appearance with Waters since their final performance of The Wall at Earls Court London 24 years earlier.

Roger Waters suggests The Wall Live will be his last live tour ever. Waters performs live in 2011 at the following UK venues:

27th June 2011 - Birmingham National Indoor Arena, Birmingham - NEW DATE
28th June 2011 - MEN Arena Manchester, Manchester
29th June 2011 - MEN Arena Manchester, Manchester - CANCELLED
