London rappers N-Dubz have been handed a nine-page writ for twice cancelling their appearance on a ghostly TV show.
The band were scheduled to appear on Living TV’s ‘Ghosthunting with...’, a show which takes celebrities around supposedly haunted locations on the lookout for supernatural life. However, according to production company Antix, the band refused to keep to their scheduled appearance, resulting in the loss of production fees due to the cancellation. Antix have sued the band, asking for £84,000 in costs.
N-Dubz were set to visit both a cemetery in West Norwood and the eerie Chislehurst Caves in Kent. According to Antix, Itemised costs include £9,210 in hotel costs, £3,000 for a researcher, £1,450 for deposits paid to the locations, £500 for food and £6,000 for the presenting talents of Yvette Fielding.
One of the band, Tulisa Contostavlos is said to have given evidence from a doctor that she was suffering from exhaustion during the period in question, but producers from the show are still pursuing the band for their fees.
N-Dubz haven’t commented on the incident as of yet, but have been busy promoting the release of their new album 'Live. Life. Love.' The band found out this week that their new track ‘Girls’ has been banned from both radio and TV for its bad language. However, signer Tulisa didn’t seem too phased by the ban: "We don't mind. We always like releasing controversial songs."
